Man dies in crash outside college

A 70-year-old man died when his car crashed into railings near a Hampshire sixth form college.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident in Stoney Lane, Winchester, near Peter Symonds College, and the road was closed.

Hampshire Constabulary is investigating whether the man, from the area, died from a medical condition or from injuries sustained in the crash.

Police are also appealing for witnesses to the crash to come forward.
