Woman held over wall death crash

A woman has been arrested after a man died when a car crashed into the wall of a nightclub in Portsmouth.

The 22-year-old victim, from Kent, was a passenger in the car that hit the side of The Lounge club in Granada Road, Southsea, in the early hours.

He suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver suffered minor injuries.

A 19-year-old, of Torfaen, south east Wales, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
