A playground for pensioners has opened in Hampshire in a bid to encourage health and fitness.
The £12,000 facility, in Kings Worthy, near Winchester, is fitted with specialist equipment to improve the mobility of older people.
Residents talked about the idea at a coffee morning after hearing about a similar project in Manchester.
Councillor Peter Warrener, chairman of Kings Worthy Parish Council, said people were "pleased" it was approved.
Funding for the project, which is opposite a children's play area, was secured through the Kings Worthy Open Spaces Fund
The first "pensioners' play park" in England opened in Blackley in Manchester, in February of last year.
