Woman's body is found in car park

Portland Terrace car park was shut after the body was found

A woman has been found dead in a multi-storey car park in Southampton.

The body was discovered at Portland Terrace on Sunday morning. It is not known how she died but police said the death was not suspicious.

A Hampshire police spokesman said: "The incident has now been closed." He said the dead woman had been identified and next of kin had been informed.

Portland Terrace was shut while officers investigated the death but has since reopened.
