Police at the scene in Alma Street
Three men have been arrested on suspicion of murder

Police have been granted extra time to question three men on suspicion of murder after another two men were found stabbed to death in Hampshire.

The first victim was found in the road in Alma Street, Gosport, on Friday morning. He was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Another man was found dead with stab injuries in a nearby house.

A 27-year-old local man and two men from London, aged 19 and 21, can be questioned for another 36 hours.

The dead men have not been formally identified by police.

Officers are conducting patrols in the area to try to reassure residents.

Alma Road has been cordoned off while police gather forensic evidence but other temporary road diversions have been lifted.
