Woman accused of husband's murder

A woman has appeared in court charged with murdering her husband who was found dead on the Isle of Wight.

The body of Geoffrey Lawson was found at a property in Wellow Top Road, Yarmouth, early on Sunday morning.

On Monday, Helen Lawson, 61, of the same address, was remanded in custody when she appeared before Isle of Wight magistrates.

She is due to appear at Winchester Crown Court on 6 April. Police have not said how Mr Lawson died.
