The family of a woman stabbed to death has released childhood pictures of her in a bid to spur people to come forward with new information.

The body of Paula Poolton, 40, of Titchfield, Fareham, was found in her Peugeot 206 close to Swanwick railway station in Hampshire on 28 October.

She had been missing for 11 days when her body was discovered.

Her family said they wanted "justice for Paula". Two men have been arrested and bailed in the investigation.

Ms Poolton was last seen on CCTV footage shopping at Tesco in Bursledon, at about 2130 BST on 17 October.

Det Ch Insp Darren O'Callaghan said: "This is a complex investigation. Paula was missing for 11 days before the discovery of her body.

"We are still trying to piece together what happened to Paula after that sighting at Tesco.

"Like us, Paula's family want to know what happened to her.

"They hope that by releasing these pictures of Paula they will spur anyone with any information about her death to come forward."

Police said they had yet to trace her house and car keys, and her left flip-flop was missing.

They said the items could provide vital forensic evidence.

Two men, aged 52 and 55 and from the Fareham area, were arrested on suspicion of her murder and released on bail.
