Man held after pedestrian killed

A pedestrian died and a driver was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a collision in Hampshire.

The man in his 60s was crossing at a bus stop in Grayshott Road in Headley Down on Friday at about 1700 GMT when he was hit by a Rover car.

The driver of the car, a 62-year-old man from the Bordon area, was held by police and is being questioned.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.
