Teenage boys admit church murder

Two boys, aged 15 and 16, have admitted the murder of a 44-year-old man who died in an attack at a churchyard.

William Wickham, of South Street in Gosport, Hampshire, was found dead in the grounds of Holy Trinity Church in the town on 25 February.

Post-mortem tests showed he died from a serious physical assault.

The boys, also from Gosport, admitted murder at Winchester Crown Court. They were remanded in custody to be sentenced on 18 December.

The teenagers cannot be named for legal reasons.
