Cannabis factories found in raids

Three people were arrested after police raided two cannabis factories in Portsmouth, uncovering drugs with an estimated street value of £40,000.

Hampshire police officers swooped on three houses in Stratton Close, Paulsgrove at 0800 GMT on Thursday.

More than 80 plants were recovered from outhouses in the gardens of two houses.

A 23-year-old woman and two men, aged 33 and 43, held on suspicion of cultivating cannabis plants, were released on bail until 16 February.

More plants were uncovered in the third house, a police spokeswoman confirmed.
