Safety concern over missing woman

Police say they are becoming increasingly concerned for the safety of a Hampshire woman who disappeared 10 days ago.

Paula Poolton, 40, from Course Park Crescent in Titchfield was last seen at lunchtime on 17 October in Portsmouth.

Her black Peugeot 206 was seen outside Tesco in Bursledon that night, but there have been no sightings of her or her car since.

Ms Poolton has black hair, is 5ft 4in (1.6m) tall and of slim build.

'Very concerned'

She was last seen wearing brown trousers, a grey top and a white three-quarter length, 1960s style coat. She was driving a car with the registration HK54 KHH.

Det Sgt Laurie Firman said: "It has now been 10 days since she was last seen and it is out of character for her to disappear and not contact anyone.

"We have conducted house-to-house inquiries among her neighbours and spoken to her friends and family and no-one has seen or heard from her and there have been no other reported sightings of Paula or her vehicle.

"We are unaware whether Paula has any money with her, which combined with the fact that no-one has heard from her, leads us to be very concerned for her safety."
