Appeal over fatal motorbike crash

A stretch of the A27 near Farlington was closed for several hours

A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash on a main road in Hampshire.

The man died when the Kawasaki bike he was riding "apparently lost control" on the eastbound A27, near Farlington, on Friday evening, police said.

A section of the road was closed for six hours while an investigation took place. It reopened early on Saturday.

The rider's next-of-kin have yet to be informed, police said. Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward.
