Man, 93, arrested over road death

A 93-year-old driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a motorcyclist died in a collision in Hampshire.

The rider, a 65-year-old man from Lymington, died after the incident at about 1340 BST on the A337 near the Filly Inn at Setley in the New Forest.

He had been in collision with a Rover car. The elderly driver, from Boldre, is currently in police custody.

The road was closed for several hours as police carried out investigations.

Officers appealed for witnesses.
