Body found near capsized dinghy

A man's body has been found off the coast of Hampshire near a capsized dinghy, police have confirmed.

The elderly man is believed to have been sailing near Southampton Sailing Club when he got into trouble.

A member of the public alerted police at about 0900 BST and the coastguard discovered the body.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and the deceased man has not yet been formally identified. The cause of death has not yet been ascertained.
