Man killed in double decker crash

A man in his 20s has died in a collision between a car and a bus on a main road in Hampshire.

The man was driving a Ford Escort when it was involved in a collision with a double decker bus on the A338 between Ringwood and Fordingbridge.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. The bus driver is in a serious but not life-threatening condition in hospital.

Police were called at about 0700 BST and set up road closures which will remain in place for several hours.

Two passengers on the Wiltshire and Dorset Bus were treated for minor injuries at the scene.

The next of kin of the deceased man have been informed.
