Teenager suffers sexual assault

A 19-year-old has been sexually assaulted in a Southampton park by a man who asked her for a cigarette.

The woman was in Watts Park on Saturday morning when a man grabbed her but then fled after being disturbed by someone.

A man, 23, held in connection with the attack, was bailed until 20 October. Police are also investigating a separate incident in Palmerston Park.

They are trying to trace a woman they believe was attacked on Sunday morning because she has not yet come forward.
