Man in court over armed robbery

A man has appeared in court charged in connection with an armed robbery at a Hampshire store.

Scott Kenny, 23, of Foleshill, Coventry, was arrested in the Netherlands and charged with robbing the Co-op in Gregson Avenue, Gosport.

He appeared at Fareham Magistrates' Court on Friday and was remanded to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on 8 December.

Mr Kenny's arrest came after a joint police operation.

It involved Hampshire Constabulary's Serious and Organised Crime Unit (Socu), the Serious and Organised Crime Agency (Soca) and the Dutch National Crime Squad.
