Inquiry after woman's body found

A woman's body has been discovered in a Hampshire village.

The woman, who has not yet been identified, was found at an address in the village of Amport near Andover at about 2200 BST.

A post-mortem examination is due to take place at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester.

Police are in the process of formally identifying the woman and contacting family members. A local man, 47, has been arrested and remains in custody.
