Man charged over schoolboy death

A man has been charged over the death of an 11-year-old boy killed in a crash.

Theodore Hixon-Denton was hit by a dark-coloured car on Sholing Road, Bitterne, Southampton, near Veracity recreation ground in November 2007.

Jason Michael Tobola, 19, of Sholing, is accused of perverting the course of justice, failure to stop and report a road traffic incident.

He is due to appear before Southampton Magistrates Court on 17 April.

He was also charged with driving without insurance.
