Boys in court over church death

William Wickham was attacked near his home in Gosport
Two boys, aged 15 and 16, have appeared in court charged with the murder of a 44-year-old man who died in an attack at a Hampshire churchyard.

William Wickham was found dead in the grounds of Holy Trinity Church in Gosport, a week ago.

Post-mortem tests showed he died from a serious physical assault.

The boys, from Gosport, appeared before magistrates in Fareham on Monday morning and were remanded into the secure care of the local authority.

They will appear again at Fareham Youth Court on 10 March.
