Danger drug alert to partygoers
A 19-year-old woman is in hospital after taking what police believe may have been ecstasy at a party.

The woman took a tablet in Popley, Hampshire, on Saturday and is in North Hampshire Hospital suffering from an adverse reaction, police said.

Officers are investigating if there is any link to the suspected selling of "pink kangaroo" ecstasy tablets at a party in Brighton Hill on Friday night.

Two people have been charged on suspicion of supplying a class A drug.

The 18-year-old man and 19-year-old woman have since been released on bail.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have bought or taken the suspicious tablets to come forward.

Det Con Paul Barry, of Basingstoke CID, said: "Our main concern is for people's welfare and I would urge anyone with information to contact me in confidence at Basingstoke CID."

Police said the tablets were pink with a picture of a kangaroo on them.
