Motorway death woman identified
A woman whose body was found on the M3 in Hampshire has been named.

Heather Finkill, 30, of Pinewood Park, Farnborough, Hampshire, was found dead on the northbound carriageway of the motorway on Wednesday morning.

The M3 at junction 4a was closed for eight hours following the discovery while officers carried out an investigation at the scene.

Hampshire Police said the circumstances surrounding Mrs Finkill's death were still being investigated.

Officers have appealed to anyone who may have seen her on the carriageway to contact them.

Mrs Finkill was wearing pink pyjama-style trousers, a blue hooded top and white trainers when she died.

She was also wearing a ring set with four to five diamonds on her right hand and a silver necklace was found nearby.

Police were alerted to the body by a member of the public who contacted them shortly before 0700 GMT.
