Ex-police officer on sex charges
A former police inspector has been charged over allegations he sexually assaulted nine boys at a police station between July 2006 and July 2007.

Gerard Hutchings, 48, worked for Hampshire police in the New Forest.

He was charged with 10 sex offences alleged to have taken place at Lyndhurst police station in Hampshire.

Mr Hutchings was also charged with nine counts of misconduct in public office. He will attend Brighton and Hove Magistrates' Court on 17 December.

He has been placed on conditional bail.
