Teenager killed in crash is named
The teenage boy who died after a car crash in Hampshire has been named as Daniel Lee James Ayre.

The 16-year-old of Ewshot, Hants/Surrey border, was hurt in a collision between a car and a van in Church Crookham on Tuesday evening and died in hospital.

Three other teenagers were seriously injured in the collision and the van driver suffered minor injuries.

Daniel's family said their "football mad" son would be remembered for his cheeky grin and sense of humour.

He touched the hearts and made an impression on all who met him.
Family statement

A Mercedes Sprinter van, driven by a 35-year-old man from Surrey, was in collision with a blue Vauxhall Corsa on Beacon Hill Road.

Daniel was a passenger in the rear of the Corsa.

He went to Calthorpe Park School, played football for Fleet Town Colts and supported Arsenal.

In a statement his family said: "Dan will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

"Dan had a great sense of humour, [was] very quick-witted and was a kind, loving and thoughtful son. He touched the hearts and made an impression on all who met him."
