Two critically injured in crash
Two men are in a critical condition in hospital after suffering head and internal injuries in a crash in Hampshire.

The two 20-year-old men from Eastleigh and Chandler's Ford were passengers in a Peugeot car that was in collision with a van in Lee-on-the-Solent.

They were taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital (QA) in Cosham where they remain in an intensive care unit.

Police said the crash happened when the car lost control on a bend.

Two other passengers of the car, an 18-year-old man and a 19-year-old man from Southampton, were taken to the QA with minor injuries.

The occupants of the van, a 58-year-old man from Fareham and a 47-year-old man from Subbington, were also treated at the QA for minor injuries and shock.

The 20-year-old driver of the car was arrested and released on bail.

Police closed the scene in Marine Parade East for three hours following the crash at about 1255 BST on Thursday.
