Unexploded bomb found by worker
A device thought to be a World War II bomb has been detonated in a controlled explosion in a Hampshire town after it was discovered on a building site

Police set up a 100m cordon around Whitchurch Silk Mill, in Whitchurch, early on Monday morning, after a site worker made the discovery.

A bomb disposal team detonated the device on Monday lunchtime after the area was evacuated.

A police spokeswoman said road blocks have been removed.
