Police name biker killed in crash
A motorcyclist who died in a collision with a car on the Isle of Wight has been named by police.

Edward Mawdsley, 38, from Yarborough Close, Godshill, suffered fatal injuries in the crash on the A3056, near Newchurch on Thursday afternoon.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the crash between Mr Mawdsley's Honda motorcycle and a Suzuki car at the Fighting Cocks Crossroads.

The 74-year-old car driver was not injured in the accident.
