Boy in court over rape in woods

A 15-year-old boy has appeared in court charged with the rape of an eight-year-old boy and the attempted abduction of a girl aged nine.

The young boy was attacked in woods in Alton, Hampshire, on Monday and the young girl was almost abducted in the town on the same day.

The youngster appeared at Aldershot Magistrates' Court in the afternoon.

He was remanded in secure accommodation and the case was adjourned for a hearing at youth court on 13 December.
