City drugs found hidden in bushes

Dozens of wraps were found at the address
Police in Portsmouth have seized £5,000 of suspected Class A drugs after a member of the public found wraps hidden in photographic film containers.

The drugs, which were white or brown powder wrapped in the shape of pills, were hidden in bushes and scattered on the floor in Conan Road, police said.

Officers warned parents and teachers in the city to watch out for more drugs.

Nick Hodge, of Hampshire Police, said: "We are concerned in case a child has already found some of these wraps".

"They would be incredibly dangerous to a child, so we're appealing for everyone to keep their eyes open and let us know immediately if they find anything," he added.

Officers have carried out a fingertip search of the road and investigations are continuing.
