A crewman in the custody of UK police has been charged with the death of a colleague on the liner Queen Mary 2.
Filipino Rodolfo Detecio Juanga, 48, was charged with the murder of Filipino Joel Jagatin Tagaan, 39, who died last Friday, while the liner was at sea.
Hampshire Constabulary has jurisdiction because the ship is registered in Southampton - it arrived on Wednesday.
The electrician will appear at Southampton Magistrates' Court on Saturday, police said.
Mr Juanga was taken into custody under Section 105 of the Merchant Shipping Act when the vessel docked in the city.
His arrest came after British detectives boarded the ship in Norway to question staff following an alleged argument below decks in which Mr Tagaan suffered serious head injuries.
He died en route to a hospital in the Netherlands.
