Worker hurt in propeller accident
A 52-year-old airport worker suffered serious injuries when he was caught in an aircraft's moving propeller.

The man, a volunteer, was undergoing surgery on Monday evening after the accident at the airport in Sandown on the Isle of Wight.

The volunteer helper from Sandown, is said to have serious injuries to his abdomen, arm and hand. They are not thought to be life-threatening.

He was taken by ambulance for treatment at St Mary's Hospital in Newport.
