Husband remanded over woods death

Kirsi Gifford-Hull vanished from her home on 17 September

A man charged with murdering his wife, whose body was found in dense woodland, has been remanded in custody.

Michael Gifford-Hull, 42, of Harestock Road, Winchester, Hants, had appealed for information about his wife, Kirsi, 38, at a press conference on Wednesday.

Her body was found in woods near Micheldever on Thursday afternoon.

Mr Gifford-Hull was later charged, and appeared before Basingstoke magistrates on Monday. He will now appear at Winchester Crown Court on 17 October.
