The transport centre will see 3m pass through each year

Comedian Griff Rhys Jones has hit out at plans to develop a modern transport centre on an historic seafront.
Isle of Wight Council is hoping to build a modern "iconic landmark" to replace the run-down bus and train stations on the esplanade in Ryde.
Mr Rhys Jones has given his support to locals opposed to the building, saying it would be a "brash diamond-encrusted gold tooth" in a smile.
He called for the Victorian character of the seafront to be maintained.

Don't do it Ryde. Don't be silly. You have something wonderful

In a letter to organisers of the Save Ryde Campaign, the presenter of TV's Restoration series said that small seaside towns are "a vital part of our heritage which (are) increasingly under threat".
He added: "I am horrified to hear of the plans to develop Ryde seafront with this inappropriate building.
"Don't do it Ryde. Don't be silly. You have something wonderful. A town like Ryde is a smile. Be very careful about sticking a brash diamond-encrusted gold tooth in the middle of it.
Mr Rhys Jones said the plans for Ryde seafront 'horrified' him

"You will put people off and squander your riches and the future of your citizens."
The public has been given until 7 October to comment on the blueprint plans for the transport interchange.
The new centre, which will replace stations from the 1950s and 1960s, is expected to be used by 3m passengers each year.
The council is currently seeking conservation area consent for the outline plans.
A spokesman for the council declined to respond to Mr Rhys Jones' comments, saying: "We cannot comment on a live planning application.
"We cannot be seen to be doing anything that might prejudice the decision of the development control panel."
