Two men who racially abused a 37-year-old Asian man and then attacked him, are being hunted by police.
The assault happened outside a bookshop on Albert Road North, Southsea, Portsmouth, on Friday evening.
Four men shouted at the victim as he walked down the street and then two of the men walked over to him and punched him in the face.
The man needed hospital treatment after he suffered a cracked cheek bone and substantial bruising to his face.
A Hampshire police spokeswoman said: "This is a serious incident, and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed anything at the time to come forward and assist in our efforts to identify the suspects of this unprovoked attack."
