Officers seek fatal crash witness

Police are trying to trace a woman who may hold vital clues to the cause of a crash that left a motorcyclist dead.

The rider of a red Yamaha bike lost control and collided with a Toyota van on Morestead Road, Owslebury, near Winchester, Hampshire, on Monday.

The man, thought to be in his 40s, died at the scene. The van driver was uninjured.

Officers hope they can trace a woman who stopped to help after the crash, as she may have witnessed what happened.

Officers are also appealing for any other witnesses to come forward.
