Girl, 8, seriously hurt in crash
An eight-year-old girl has suffered life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car.

The accident happened on the northbound carriageway in Frendstaple Road, Waterlooville, Hampshire, as the girl attempted to cross the road.

She was taken to the Queen Alexandra Hospital with serious injuries after the crash on Monday morning.

Police want to speak to the driver of a silver people-carrier that stopped to allow the schoolgirl to cross the road.
