Woman killed in car collision

A 41-year-old woman from Cirencester has died from injuries received when the car she was travelling in collided with another vehicle.

Police were called to the A433 between Westonbirt and Willesley on Wednesday morning after reports of a collision between a Toyota and a Volkswagen.

The woman was taken to Frenchay Hospital with critical injuries but died later.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

The driver of the Toyota was also taken to hospital as a precaution.
