Advice service for abuse victims

A new service called Gloucestershire Central Allocation and Referral Point (CARP) has been set up to help victims of domestic violence in the Cotswolds.

It will offer advice and help to victims and can direct them to the appropriate support organisation.

The new service will be highlighted in the county during Domestic Abuse Week beginning on 23 November.

CARP has been set up in addition to The Sanctuary Scheme, Men's Advice Line and Cotswold Housing Advice Service.

Barry Gibbs of Cotswold District Council said: "These services are available for anyone who feels under threat or who may have concerns about domestic abuse issues."
