Name of murder victim is released

Mr Green from Lydney was pronounced dead on Sunday

Police have released the name the man who died following a stabbing in the Forest of Dean.

Jonathon Green, 30, from Lydney, was pronounced dead at the scene after officers were called to an address in Manor Road in the town on Sunday.

Christopher Toomey, 24, of The Willows, Purlieu, Lydney, was arrested in connection with the death.

He appeared in Cheltenham Magistrates' court and has been remanded in custody charged with murder.

The coroner has been informed.
