Body found in missing woman hunt

The body of a 76-year-old woman who went missing from her home in Gloucester has been found by police.

Joan Williams who had dementia, was last seen at her house in Heathville Road on Tuesday 13 October.

Her body was found close to Rookery Road in Innsworth at about 1445 GMT on Sunday.

A police spokeswoman said: "Formal identification has not yet taken place, but the family of Joan Williams has been notified."
