The family of a 25-year-old man who died after being attacked outside a Gloucestershire nightclub have paid tribute to him.

Tim Jennings, of Bibury, was assaulted outside the Bar Code in Cirencester on 27 June and died in Frenchay Hospital.

His parents Mark and Kim said he was a kind, loving and generous son and added they had been overwhelmed by the number of good wishes they had received.

"Our house is filled with flowers and we've had over 300 cards," they said.

"Timbo was very sociable, and loved to go out with his friends, especially to the Catherine Wheel in Bibury, and we're heartbroken that he died following a night out.

"We are incredibly grateful for everything that Gloucestershire Police do and have done, and we're hoping to work with them over the coming months to help make Cirencester a safer place," they said.

Two 18-year-old men have been charged with manslaughter following Mr Jennings's death.
