Driver dies in head-on collision

A motorist has died after his car was involved in a head-on collision near Bream in the Forest of Dean.

The 24-year-old man, from Blakeney, died at the scene, on the B4231 Coleford Road in Gloucestershire.

Police say his Subaru Impreza, travelling away from Bream, somehow collided head-on with a Nissan X-Trail.

The crash took place at around 1145 BST. The road was closed for several hours for police investigation, and the man's family has been informed.
