More than 80 firefighters dealt with a blaze at a builders' yard in the Forest of Dean.

The emergency services were called to Hale and Co in Drybrook on Friday afternoon.

Eyewitness Kate Clark told BBC News she was driving along the road and saw ambulances and paramedics arriving at the site.

"One of the sheds is on fire and there's thick black smoke coming out of the building," she said.

A Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said 12 crews from Gloucestershire, south Wales and Herefordshire had attended.

The single-storey building, which measures 150m by 70m, contained building supplies, timber and plastic.

The cause of the blaze is not known. There are no reports of any injuries.
