Dead baby 'given MMR jab earlier'

An 18-month-old baby from Gloucestershire found dead in his cot had been given the MMR jab 10 days earlier, a inquest has heard.

George Fisher was found dead by his mother Sarah, 42, at their Cheltenham home in January 2006.

Mrs Fisher and her husband Christopher, 43, believe the vaccine was "implicated" in their son's death.

But Professor Peter Fleming of Bristol University said it may have been a case of sudden infant death.

Gloucestershire Coroner Alan Crickmore is expected to give his verdict on Thursday at the city council offices on Gloucester Docks.
