A flagship clothing store has been destroyed by a fire less than a year after it was opened.

Fire crews were called to the Next store on the Quedgley Business Park in Gloucester at 1500 BST on Sunday.

A Fire Brigade spokesman said the building had been completely gutted. Adjacent stores Matalan and Brantano were also closed on Monday.

Station Manager Rob Blair told BBC News it had been a major operation to control the blaze.
