Power cut affects 3,000 customers

About 3,000 homes and businesses were without electricity after a power cut in Gloucestershire.

The power loss came at about 0730 BST in the Stonehouse and Stroud area, a spokesman for Central Networks said.

By 1100 BST there were six customers still without power, including a business in the Stonehouse area, the spokesman added.

"We don't know what the problem was yet but we been switching people to different circuits," he said.
