Three are caught in alcohol sting

Three out of seven off-licences tested during an undercover operation in Gloucestershire sold alcoholic drink to an under age volunteer.

Staff failed to ask the 16-year-old boy for identification at the stores which were all in the Forest of Dean, said a Gloucestershire Police spokesman.

Pc Duncan Sleeman said: "This is disappointing. Warning letters have now been sent to those that failed.

"We will also be hosting meetings with the managers of the off-licences."
