Huntsman faces police prosecution

A professional huntsman is to appear in court to face charges in connection with the alleged killing of a fox.

Julian Barnfield, 44, faces charges of hunting a wild mammal with dogs during a hunt with the Heythrop Hunt in Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire.

Mr Barnfield of Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, will appear at Cheltenham Magistrates court on 21 July.

The three charges under the Hunting Act 2004 cover 17 November 2007, 23 January 2008 and 7 February 2008.
