Cash and pension book are stolen
Cash and a pension book were stolen from an 81-year-old woman in a distraction burglary in Cheltenham on Thursday.

A man knocked on the door of the woman's property in Charlton Kings, posing as a workman.

He kept the homeowner occupied by turning on taps, said a spokesman for Gloucestershire Police.

After he left the woman noticed the missing items. The man is described as white with short black hair.

He spoke with a West Country accent.
