Farmer given notice to quit land
Martin Yarworth
Martin Yarworth has 28 days to leave the land
A Gloucestershire farmer who has been living in a horsebox after being evicted from his farm has been given 28 days notice to quit his old land.

Martin Yarworth's Newnham-on-Severn home was repossessed six years ago because mortgage payments on the property were not made.

Mr Yarworth set up home in a nearby field at Joints Meadow.

The Forest of Dean District Council has now been granted an injunction meaning Mr Yarworth must now leave.

The council said Mr Yarworth's make-shift accommodation breaks planning rules.

The farmer had claimed he did not know the mortgage on the house existed.

The house, which had been in his family for more than 100 years, has been sold.
